Job Description:

We are currently hiring a WordPress developer responsible for back-end and front-end development, including creating themes and plugins for WordPress.
This position requires a combination of programming knowledge, both PHP and MySQL as well as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of WordPress Codex and the trends and particularities of the WordPress ecosystem.

The candidate must be aware of the whole process of developing a website / application and its various phases, including design, development, testing and launch.

Main Responsibilities:

Design and develop new functionalities in the creation and support of websites and / or applications developed in WordPress;
Manage all technical aspects of the CMS;
Ensure high performance and apply industry best practices in WordPress development;
Collaborate with the design team and help design effective and responsive design and turn it into a theme and / or plugin.

Skills & Qualifications:

At least 2 years experience in developing websites in WordPress;
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, PHP (7.1 and higher);
Good knowledge of MySQL;
Good knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery;
Experience in creating graphical user interfaces for websites;
Experience in creating and developing websites with responsive design, using frameworks such as Bootstrap;
At ease with debugging tools such as Chrome Dev Tools, Firebug, etc.;
Ability to convert layouts and wireframes into web pages;
Knowledge of how to interact with APIs;
Proficient understanding of code version control tools such as GIT.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of optimization and speed of web page rendering and caching;
Knowledge of CSS preprocessors, such as SASS;
Experience using Webpack and / or Gulp.js;
Experience with Vue.js and / or React;
Basic knowledge of SEO.
